Do you get teased?

Someone posted this on the blog and I thought it would be a good post- please add to the discussion:) "I get teased every day and I'm sick of it. Do any of you have any advise to help me? Do any of you get teased?"

  1. I used to get teased and I didn't like it one bit. Being teased means being left out and you don't have alot of friends. But the bully is older than me so now we're not in the same class. My advice is to stay away from the person that's bullying you and if they cause physical or emotional pain, you have every right to go to a teacher or an adult you trust.

  3. Poll results:
60% get teased sometimes, 20% get teased a lot, 20% never get teased.

I don't know actual statistics, but I would say that is probably true of the average population- I don't think it is more (or less) because of your hearing loss. Just remember, you're NOT the only one out there being teased about something. Kids can be cruel, sometimes without even meaning to or without thinking about it. Keep your head up and talk to someone if you are feeling like you're getting teased a lot.

  4. I don't think being deaf matters. If you suck at sports then you're a goner. Fortunately, I can play all three sports well: football, basketball, and baseball. Guys love dirty signs and ladies love using sign language with me so its cool!
