I can't wait to hear from everybody!!
ReplyDeleteHow many times do you all change your batteries? I change mine every 3 days (CI). Have a great weekend!!
ReplyDeleteDo you leave your hearing aids on when you play football? My coach & mom make me take them off but it's hard to follow everything. What do you do?
ReplyDeleteI have a unilateral hearing loss. I use a FM system at my school so I can hear the teachers when they talk infront of the class or to me. I am a Junior in high school.
ReplyDeleteHi. I also have unilateral hearing loss. I have an FM system that has a kind-of small ear piece thingy and a microphone. I have to tell my teachers (a lot) to turn off the microphone during tests when they help other kids otherwise that is kind-of cheating. A lot of kids say that it is cool but I am not so sure . . . sometimes. I have a teacher of the deaf/hard of hearing who comes and checks up on me (not because i'm naughty)! Everybody thinks she is my mom. Some people say that all the other senses make up for the hearing loss. Same with blind people. I am in Junior High. 8th grade!!!!
ReplyDeleteHi I have hearing loss too..
ReplyDeleteI am a teacher of the deaf/hard of hearing I work with about 20 kids with hearing losses. None of them use sign language, do you sign?
ReplyDeletei have a haring loss too but win i go swiming i do not wear tham im 10 years old im in 4TH grade i have a FM and boots for my hearing aids for my school not for my home or friends home or the pool in town with my sister and cousins and my "brother " some tims not a lot because he is in college .
ReplyDeleteHere's a suggestion for snowmobile or motorcycle helmets. My CIs always fall off when I put on a helmet. So my dad had me try a skullcap first and then put on the helmet. The skullcap kept my CIs to stay in place. Try it. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI am a D/HH teacher. One of my students was wondering about hunting and the use of CI, or hearing aids. What do kids use or not use while hunting? Why?
ReplyDeleteThanks!
I'm a teacher too- with a hard of hearing brother who hunts. He uses ear muffs that allow soft sounds to be heard while blocking loud sounds. He wears his in-the-ear hearing aids with them. The ear muffs are kind of expensive and require batteries, but he really likes them. You can find them at hunting supply stores like Scheel's or Cabela's, etc.
ReplyDeleteI hope maybe you can put up (Do you like your school?)
